Union Station Light Study
Introduction
This project is a perceptive drawing of union station. I had to pick a spot within union station to do a perspective drawing. This project is an onset project, meaning that we have to go to union station to draw the piece. The idea behind this piece is to study the lighting of the scene I am sketching.
Materials
The Materials for this project are bond pad, colour pencils, and Canson paper. Also a scanner and printer to print the perspective outline onto the Canson paper.
Creative Process
I was required to go to Union Station to do a quick sketch of the scene and then fix the perspective later on at home. This sketch is done with pencil and ruler. I couldn't add the details of the pillars in the sketch so I drew the details underneath the sketch.
The final copy is drawn on Canson paper with pencil crayon. The lines are scanned, and then printed onto the Canson paper .
For this Project I was able to learn to draw in perceptive for this project as well as study light and how it shines on different surfaces as well as reflection on the floor of union building. I also learned how to blend colours using pencil crayons.
